Upgrade your 10R80 transmission with a high-capacity cast alloy pan designed for towing, touring and heavy-duty use.

Factory transmission pans can struggle to control fluid temperatures under sustained loads. By increasing transmission fluid capacity by approximately 2 litres and incorporating external cooling fins, this pan helps improve heat dissipation and maintain more consistent operating temperatures. Customers and workshop partners have reported transmission temperature reductions of over 30°C after installation.

Manufactured from thick-wall cast alloy, the pan features a magnetic drain plug to assist with capturing metallic particles and remains fully serviceable using standard Ford Ranger transmission filters and gaskets. For customers wishing to install a transmission temperature sensor, the pan includes cast provisions on both the left and right-hand sides that can be drilled and tapped to suit individual requirements.

Which package should I choose?

The Complete Upgrade Kit offers the best value, combining the pan upgrade with internal components such as the bypass valve and connector to improve flow and address common wear points. The Pan Only option suits lower kilometre vehicles or lighter use, where a new filter or gasket may not yet be required. If you're in Melbourne, the Full Install Package is the easiest option.

Does this include transmission fluid?

Transmission fluid is not supplied in the DIY kits. Fluid is supplied and installed by the workshop as part of the Full Install Package, which includes a fluid flush.

What does the bypass valve do?

The bypass valve replaces the original thermistor and spring assembly to improve cooler flow and eliminate sticking issues that can restrict oil flow.

Do I need the bypass valve?

The bypass valve is recommended for vehicles used for towing, touring or higher load applications. It helps maintain consistent cooler flow and reduces the risk of flow restriction caused by the factory thermistor assembly.

Is this suitable for towing?

Yes. This upgrade is ideal for towing, touring and heavy-use vehicles due to increased fluid capacity and improved heat dissipation.

Is this suitable for manual vehicles?

No. These products are designed specifically for vehicles equipped with the 10R80 automatic transmission and are not compatible with manual transmission models.
