Please follow our operating instructions to achieve great results when using your Digmate. Although Digmate is a safe tool to use, it is important to follow our safety instructions to stay safe while enjoying this amazing product.
Operating Instructions
Although we recommend using a cordless drill, an electric drill can also be used. Extra precautions must be taken if an electric drill is used to avoid damage or injury.
To begin, loosen the chuck and attach the Digmate to the end of the drill, then tighten the chuck up.
Set your drill on screw mode and on the lowest speed to begin. Setting the drill to screw mode will protect you from kickback.
Always have the drill set in the clockwise setting.
Always have both hands on the drill. Use the side handle of your drill if you have one; otherwise use both hands firmly on the drill to protect you from kickback.
Place the point of the Digmate into the soil, switch the drill on and allow it to dig a couple of inches into the soil, pull up slowly allowing the loose soil to spin out from the hole. Repeat this process until the required depth is reached.
After trialling on the lowest speed you can increase the drill speed, a little at a time, until you reach your desired speediness.
Digmate can also be used to mix products such as compost, fertilizer, seed, and animal feed.
We recommend you use a 4, 5, or 6 amp battery with your cordless drill.
Keep your Digmate clean of soil and dry from moisture when not in use.
Safety Instructions
If you have limited arm strength always use the screw mode on the drill.
Always have both hands on the drill. Use the side handle of your drill if you have one; otherwise use both hands firmly on the drill to protect you from kickback.
Wear safety glasses and good quality gardening gloves.

We strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND setting the drill on drill mode for this product as it offers NO PROTECTION from kickback.
