During that time, it has become the most commonly used brake upgrade hubs on early Commodores across Australia. We continue to offer one of the highest quality options on the market while still remaining to be the most affordable.

Please note: Bearings and seals are not included. These hubs are designed to use standard VB to VP Commodore bearings and seals. Existing bearings and seals can be re-used on these hubs if they are still in good condition.


FUN FACT - VT BRAKE UPGRADES ON EARLY COMMODORES

Holden Commodore models from VB right through to VZ all share the same front caliper mounting point measurements on the spindle. This means VT to VZ twin piston front calipers bolt directly onto VB to VS Commodores without requiring adaptor brackets.

That is one of the reasons this upgrade has remained so popular for years. It offers factory-style fitment with a significant improvement in braking performance and parts availability.


Do I need to upgrade my master cylinder and booster?

Not necessarily. It really depends on the vehicle and intended use.

For a standard street car or mild project, the factory master cylinder and booster setup is generally perfectly usable with a VT brake conversion, however you may notice a slightly softer or more spongy pedal feel compared to a full VT master cylinder and booster setup.

However, if the car is running increased power such as an LS conversion, sees drag strip or circuit use, regularly tows, or simply gets driven hard, upgrading to a VT master cylinder and booster is highly recommended for improved pedal feel and braking performance.

Planet Parts offer the required adaptor brackets and brake line adaptors separately in our store.


Do I need to change my brake hoses?

Yes.

The factory VB to VP front brake hoses are too short when using VT front calipers.

We offer the correct-length ADR-approved braided front brake hoses specifically designed for this conversion separetely in our store.
