Ford Falcon BARRA Timing Chain Top Guide BA BF FG FGX XR6 Turbo NA FPV

Planet Parts Barra Timing Chain Top Guide – Ford Falcon BA BF FG FGX 4.0L Turbo & NA

Keep your Barra’s timing chain properly supported with the Planet Parts Timing Chain Top Guide, a direct replacement for the factory upper guide fitted to Ford Barra 4.0L DOHC six-cylinder engines.

The upper guide helps control the timing chain as it travels between the camshaft sprockets, limiting unwanted movement and chain whip. A worn, cracked or damaged guide can compromise this support, making replacement an important part of timing system maintenance.

Featuring a metal mounting bracket and moulded chain contact surface, the Planet Parts top guide restores support at this key point in the timing system. Ideal for replacing a damaged original or completing a timing chain refresh during an engine rebuild.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for the factory upper timing chain guide

• Helps control unwanted chain movement and chain whip

• Supports smooth, consistent timing chain operation

• Metal mounting bracket with moulded chain contact surface

• Fits the original mounting location

• Suitable for turbocharged and naturally aspirated Barra engines

• Ideal for timing system repairs, maintenance and engine rebuilds

Why Replace Your Timing Chain Guide?

Timing chain guides wear through ongoing contact with the chain. Replacing a worn or damaged upper guide helps restore the intended chain support and prevents continued operation against a deteriorated guide surface. When refreshing your timing system, inspect the remaining guides, chain and tensioner together.
