In high-power and high-torque Barra applications, engine harmonics and repeated driveline loads can place considerable stress on the factory crank bolts and friction washer. Dowelling the crank provides a positive mechanical connection between the crankshaft and flywheel or flexplate, helping prevent movement, loose bolts and potential bolt failure.

The precision-machined jig bolts directly to the rear crank flange, allowing six accurately positioned dowel holes to be drilled with the engine still installed in the vehicle. This can save considerable time and labour compared with removing the engine solely to complete the dowelling process.

Suitable for manual and automatic Barra applications using factory or compatible aftermarket flywheels and flexplates.
