Nissan Patrol Y62 7-Speed Thermal Bypass Valve Upgrade

The factory thermal bypass system can restrict transmission fluid flow to the cooler until the transmission reaches a set operating temperature. This billet aluminium upgrade from Planet Parts removes that restriction, allowing full-time circulation through the transmission cooler and more consistent cooling under load.

This helps control transmission temperatures before excessive heat has a chance to build up.

Installation is straightforward, with the billet bypass valve designed as a direct replacement for the factory thermal bypass valve.

Why Upgrade the Factory Bypass?
