Upgrade your brakes to these MASSIVE 6-piston Front RED Brembo calipers – a huge improvement from the factory Commodore brakes!
This brake upgrade kit has been specifically designed to suit Holden VT, VU, VX, VY & VZ Commodores. It utilises the massive 6-Piston front Brembo calipers from Cadillac CTS-V models. This means future access to affordable replacement pads and discs.
The kit is very straight-forward and easy to install by anyone familiar with brake systems and can be installed with basic hand tools in under 3 hours.
The adaptor brackets are manufactured from billet 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium and are heat treated and anodized black to guarantee durability.
This kit does not include brake pads or discs.

10 x FRONT rotor bushings (required to reduce the stud holes on the brake discs to accept the smaller diameter VT-VZ wheel studs)
4 x FRONT caliper bolt bushings (only required for vehicles with brake upgrades from factory)

Brake Discs Information:
Brake discs are not included in this kit.
The front discs required are the brake discs that come fitted to VE & VF Commodore Redline edition vehicles with front Brembo calipers, Size: 355mm x 32mm. (RDA Part Number: RDA8103, DBA Part Number: DBA42604)
IMPORTANT: You will need to enlarge the centre hole on both front and rear rotors from 67.4mm to 71.4mm (if you follow the same taper/angle as the stock centre hole). If you cannot reproduce the same taper, then it is recommend to increase the hole size to 76.2mm – this will still allow the disc to still sit central on the hub because of the stainless steel stud sleeves (included with our kit).
The hole can be enlarged with a rotary tool/Dremel quite easily, however we do recommend having it done on a lathe or by a machinist.
Brake Pad Information:
Brake pads are not included in this kit.
Brake Pad specs:
Front brake pads required: Equivalent to Cadillac CTS-V, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and Corvette ZL1 models with front Brembo 6-Piston Calipers (RDA Part Number: RDX2398, GM Part Number: 25940447).
The factory steering knuckles are cast iron and may have an uneven finish from the manufacturing process. This can cause the brackets to not sit flush against the knuckle. If this is the case, you will need to sand/grind the steering knuckles to a smooth finish.
Factory brake lines can be used with this kit if your vehicle came with factory standard brakes. Note that if you have PBR Brake Upgrade Calipers (C5/C6 calipers), you will need to change your brake lines to the standard VT-VZ type as the C5/C6 lines are slightly too short.
You will need a minimum 18” wheels to clear the brake upgrade. Wheels needs to have an offset of 35mm – 42mm. Larger offsets can work but these wheels usually have concave wheel spokes that may rub on the caliper. In some instances, a small wheel spacer (2mm-5mm thick) may be required.
You will need to trim/remove the front dust shields to allow the larger caliper to fit.
We purchase these calipers brand new and in a silver finish. We then have them repainted in Melbourne by a well trusted and professional automotive workshop. They are painted in high-temp paint and clear-coated to ensure the paint won't fade or crack. Over the past few years we have sold our brake package to many car enthusiasts who take their cars down to the track very often and we have never had any issues with the paint finish - even after days of heavy circuit racing.

We swap the bleeders and crossover pipe positions on the front calipers before we get them painted so they are ready to install. The VE-VF front calipers sit at the trailing position, while the VT-VZ Commodore calipers fit at a leading position. Swapping the crossover pipe position means the calipers will have the larger brake pistons at the correct location for best braking performance.
